ObamaCare and the 28 Amendment

Yesterday a friend of mine, knowing how I can get my knickers in a twist over perceived affronts to my sacrosanct Constitution, asked the question: In the implementation of "ObamaCare" how did they get around the provisions of the 28th amendment in exempting congress from its participation? The Kennedy Health Care Bill that's how! How come he didn't know that! Once again a demonstration of what these Washington politicians think of we the great unwashed citizens of the United States of America! How stupid they must think we are! No subterfuge here, no mincing of words, nothing but an out right, we deserve better than you, stick that in your ear and grin-, slap in the face! Kennedy, the liberal lion that he was, exempted he and his fellow zoo members from the inadequacies of ObamaCare in favor of maintaining their own far superior, all enclusve health plan! In case that 28th amendment escaped you, it reads (let me look it up):

"Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States."

The intent and motivation obvious, is it not! The Kennedy Bill negated all that in '09 with but a stroke of the pen! How could he, how could we let him! It's bad enough to be accused of being misinformed, but uninformed-, stupid! Come on! And these exceptions to the Constitution are becoming commonplace! Our president, our legislators have run amuck! Washington D.C has become a self perpetuating bureaucracy unto itself; a government with in a government bent on regulating all social, economic and commercial aspects of these United States, to conform to their agenda-, by any means possible!

The Numbers!

The numbers, the numbers, isn't anyone paying attention to the numbers! It's not rocket science, it's not calculus, it's simple arithmetic. We are going broke, for all intent and purpose we are broke! Yet our government is expanding on the very programs that got us there. What are we thinking? Do we have a financial death wish, a 16 trillion dollar and counting death wish. Our welfare state has run amuck: Medicare, Medicaid, Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act ( PPAC) otherwise known as Obamacare, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) otherwise known as Food Stamps, and a host of other government entitlement programs; to say nothing of exorbitant retirement packages for government employees are lending a new dimension to being broke! And as we speak, to keep up, the Treasury's printing presses roar on, as our dollar's value plummets. Anyone for a Prozac?

Obamacare

Talk about not doing the math! Amazing, the Obamacare advocates can shout from the roof top's of the liberal media, the Ryan budget would gut Medicare, yet ignore their administration's recent $700 billion cut in Medicare to fund Obamacare! Worse, tout under Ryan's proposed Medicare reform, would force seniors to pay $6400 a year more for health care that is not at all germane to the current debate in being a highly distorted projection based on fuzzy math and highly suspect conjecture by a CBO proposed model. And, of course failing to mention all seniors now over age 55 would not be effected by any of these machinations. Yet further that future seniors of 65 years of age would have more cost effective alternatives to Medicare under the Ryan plan if they so wish! The problem, the government has become so proficient at dazzling it's citizenry with a fuselage of "funny" numbers to support their claims for greater efficiency, for greater welfare, for greater whatever, we flounder in a malaise of confusion, not knowing what to believe!
