Railroading Of Donald Trump

Isn't it ironic the New York judicial system indicts the quintessential New Yorker and no less a former President and leading Republican candidate for the presidency of these United States come November? The principal judicial participators in this sham conviction are Judge Juan Merchan, of unimpressive JD credentials, a prominent democrat party donor, a Biden advocate whose daughter works as a DNC fundraiser, who has been repeatedly selected to preside over cases brought against Republicans, even though he is not in the regular judicial rotation, serving as an alternate. He who lent the final coup-de-grace at the trial. And we have the instigator of this farse of litigation, DA Alvin Bragg, manipulating a misdemeanor into a felony to remove the statute of limitations. But, in the 11th hour, it took the deft hand of Judge Marchan, in repeatedly violating constitutional law in his biased management of the trial’s proceedings, to seal The Donald’s fate.

Are You Kidding Me

The Wall Street Journal’s Bill McGurn reported that should Biden step aside, Kamala Harris is the “favored replacement,” according to a Bloomberg/Morning Consult Poll. He goes on to outline how Ms. Harris would fare in a head-to-head matchup against Donald Trump in seven swing states, where Harris trails the former president by 3 (Michigan) to 10 points (North Carolina). McGurn goes on to claim that Ms. Harris is a liability as a result of her dejection based solely on identity politics. Sure, I agree, but I think McGurn is missing a larger point: After nearly four years of cackling, nonsensical word salad with virtually no accomplishments, embarrassing this country repeatedly on the world stage, she is ONLY trailing Trump by 3 to 10 points. Hell, the margin of error in these polls usually hovers at plus or minus 3 to 5 percentage points, therefore making nearly half the swing states potentially a dead heat. So my question is: even in light of Mr. Trump’s foibles, who in their right mind would elect Kamala Harris, a train wreck unfolding before our eyes, to lead the nation?  Have we become so hopelessly partisan, or perhaps so vehemently anti-Trump, that half the voters in swing states would support Harris at the head of the Democratic ticket? This country is indeed at the edge of a precipice. 

Hochul’s Follies

And now we have Kathy Hochul, fresh off her “black children don’t even know what the word computer means” comment, calling Trump supporters “clowns” and recently opining on the Israel-Hamas conflict and getting sideways with both Palestinian supporters within her own party and the Jewish community as well. With the middle class exiting New York in unprecedented numbers, the totally out-of-touch Governor continues to engage in the Biden exercise of opening her mouth and producing gaffe after gaffe. Just this year alone, she has suggested banning gas stoves, internal combustion automobiles, fossil fuel-fired home heating appliances, and reducing speed limits presumably, as one FOX contributor observed, to slow down the exodus from her heavily taxed and regulated state. And anyone with her Botox distorted facial features and goofy speech delivery should seriously reconsider calling anyone else a clown, let alone the prominently black and Hispanic crowd that showed up at his rally in the Bronx. Oops. Yet she has been on a tear recently making headlines, no doubt feeling the heat as the grandstanding State AG Leticia James nips at her heels with an eye on the Governor’s mansion. What a legacy New York has left us. From Elliott Spitzer and his penchant for prostitutes to Andrew Cuomo’s allegations of sexual misconduct, we are left with the positively vacuous Kathy Hochul, a glaring example of the Peter Principle, potentially challenged by an activist attorney general who based her entire campaign strategy on persecuting Donald Trump. Only in New York. Let the exodus continue. 

Hollywood Thought Pundits

Have you seen the ancient actor Dick Van Dyke, he of the Disney Mary Poppins movie and a 60s television show famous for his opening staged tumble over an ottoman, emerge as a political pundit? Even he remarks that he falls down a lot…..on purpose. Well, he’s at it again. The formerly likable character has decided to take his anti-Trump rant to Instagram, railing against the Supreme Court for not decisively ruling against the former president in a timely enough fashion, suggesting that they are greasing the path for him to return to the Oval Office. With age should come wisdom, but Mr. Van Dyke has chosen to tarnish his likability with a deep dive into partisan politics, and he doesn’t wear it well. Stick to what you know, sir, and like the rest of Hollywood, stop using your platform to spew vitriol against your political opposition. Yeah, I’m talking to you, Bobby De Niro.

ET Tu Stormy

The more I  read about Stormy Daniels and her “breathless” “salacious” testimony, the more it sounds like a dime-store romance novel. Greeting her in “Hugh Hefner’s pajamas” and “let’s keep in touch honey bunch “ as his parting quip?  Seriously?  It sounds like Stacy Abrams wrote the script. Whenever the Democrats lie, always turn it around and look for an element of truth in what they’re up to. This accusation coincidentally came on the heels of the infamous “grab them by the p***sy audio, setting the stage for this shakedown. It is far more likely that Ms. Daniels, far from being an upstanding example of virtue despite Democrats continually painting her as an “adult film star” rather than the porn actress that she is, tried to shake down Trump for a spot on “The Apprentice.” When rebuffed, she likely resorted to extortion, managing to squeeze out $130,000 from Trump's “fixer,” the equally sleazy Michael Cohen. Win-win. Why would anyone, less someone of Mr. Trump’s stature, risk his reputation and an STD to play on that pitch?  It seems rather far-fetched regardless of how debauched you view Trump’s moral compass. If he has anything, it’s a knack for self-preservation, and a trist with Ms. Daniels doesn’t fit the bill.

Dumb And Dumber

Free, free Palestine. From the river to the sea. Okay, you pampered little miscreants, we understand. What we understand is that you are all ignorant, ill-bred, coddled little twits, devoid of historical context and oblivious to foreign affairs, skating through college pursuing meaningless liberal arts degrees on somebody else’s dime. And why would we suspect otherwise?  Your behavior is abhorrent, disrespectful of the majority of students there to study, and you have been fed a steady stream of leftist ideology from the media, your liberal parents but most insidiously from an education system dominated by progressive professors and administrators who have bent the system to their activist ideals and failed to prepare this generation to succeed at life. Don’t just suspend the students; cleanse our university system of these partisan agitators. $90 thousand a year for this? Please. These institutions are rapidly losing their luster. And dressing the statue of George Washington in terrorist garb in the GWU “encampment” is disrespectful to all Americans and well beyond the pale. You have a right to protest, a right to your opinion, and freedom of speech to express it, but if you’re looking to garner sympathy for your cause, you have made some grave miscalculations. Back to reality for just a moment. It’s truly a horror that the Palestinian people are at war and have suffered grievous casualties to their civilian population. And enough about tit for tat measured response by Israel. This isn’t a board game where we are keeping score. For historical context, the Germans in WWII suffered immeasurably more under the Allied bombing campaign, but they, too, started it. Who logically suspects that a slap on the wrist will prevent future attacks from people who have vowed to exterminate the Zionists? Perhaps we should take them at their word. That said, the Palestinian people elected a terrorist organization to govern them. That government chose to hoard international aid, using building supplies and funds not to construct schools and build infrastructure but instead to build tunnels and bunkers to protect their fighters and hoard weapons. When under attack, did the Palestinian people hunker down in this underground network for protection? No, they continued to be used as human shields, the carnage more fodder for the propagandists using the underground network to protect their terrorist ranks to launch counterattacks against the Israeli soldiers. The Palestinian people elected terrorists to serve them and instead were rewarded with abandonment. And all this nonsense about a Palestinian state. They had one. Israel has been “hands off” in Gaza for nearly a decade, allowing them to function autonomously. And look at all they accomplished with their prime oceanfront real estate. A massive slum reliant on foreign aid. The only thing they seem to have produced is more Palestinians. And they then used their gifted territory to launch a horrifyingly barbaric attack into Israel to slaughter innocents. So why is it do you think their Muslim neighbors are unwilling to take in Palestinian refugees?  Their children are taught at a very young age the art of jihad, specifically a hated for Jews, and they don’t play nice with others. Who would want an influx of that destabilizing mindset injected into your country if you live in that part of the world? Look at how well it’s working out here.

Wavering Confidence

What worries me is when the polls repeatedly show Trump leading Biden in all the critical issues, the economy, the border, world affairs, and even leading in the swing states. Yeah, okay….but the lead is all within the margin of error. And two words to remind you of the fallibility of the polls: Red wave. You can’t tell me that die-hard lefties, disappointed with Biden’s performance on virtually any issue, are going to suddenly vote for Trump. Not a chance. Perhaps a spoiler like Kennedy would offer them an alternative. Still, the chance of a Trump vote is about as high as the probability that the Democrats will support election integrity. So, will that leave the ever-shrinking cadre of independent swing voters as the deciding factor? Are there any of those on the left not swayed by the incessant barrage of anti-Trump mania in the mainstream media? NPR yesterday devoted an entire segment to the predictable tactic of trying to link Trump to the abortion issue, calling him non-committal and evasive, suggesting that he will somehow take away your precious abortion rights. All this when he repeatedly has stated, and correctly so, that it is a state issue, not a constitutional matter. So, as the election nears, expect more of the same. Lawfare and attempts to silence Biden's political opponent, you too, Kennedy, and running abortion up the flagpole, the only issue where Biden leads in the polls.
