End This Antitrust Fandago

Are the social media conglomerates violating our Antitrust rules and regulations? Using Milton Friedman’s criteria: “There is one and only one social responsibility of business to use its resources and engage in activities designed to increase its profits so long as it stays within the rules of the game, which is to say, engages in open and free competition without deception or fraud.” Have they done that?  Have they engaged in open and free competition? Have they censored or limited access to their media platforms? Have those who hid behind their status as unbiased news purveyors yet have a highly biased social and political agenda? Is there anyone near equal in rivaling their market impact? Yes, our Antitrust Rules are old and antiquated, seemingly not specific to violators in this modern era, yet doesn't Friedman’s basic premise ring true? We can't let these pointy-head nerds with their superior digital intellect and their legion of legal mercenaries spin those antiquated antitrust laws in their favor or allow their alliance with big business and politicians to persuade us otherwise. Get our antitrust legislation more applicable to today's circumstances before these monopolies inflict more damage to our society than they already have! Urge your elected officials to get it done, I have.
